This place has great food the brisket was tender the ribs came right off the bone. The owner is hwat and funny as hell!!! Not mention a really nice butt lmao

The bomb! Great barbecue sauces, good pig and ribs. Fried okra and green tomatoes were excellent! My 12 year old son loved the fried buscuits. I loved the smoked sausage. My sons and I loved the gator tail! Great fried pies too, especially the apple pie! Eat in a rustic dining room, great country ambience and authentic barbecue!

I was driving from Lakeland to Inverness and I notice Deep South BBQ on the side of the road so I decided to check it out and the only thing I can say the food was amazing and very delicious and I will be stopping by next weekend on my to Inverness I will highly recommend Deep South BBQ to everyone it was very delicious

Spotted this place while driving by and we decided to check it out. So glad we did! Everything was soooo good! My husband is a huge bbq fan and we’ve tried it from all over the place, but this was probably the best brisket I’ve ever had. Even the sides were delicious, and they usually miss the mark at most other places. Friendly service, too. We don’t make it down to Brooksville often, but would definitely make the drive again just to eat here

The owner of this BarBQ shack has the biggest heart of almost anyone you will ever know. She has so much respect for you she actually looks you in the eyes and listens when you talk. (it doesn't hurt she has Beautiful eyes). If you see something on the menu you have never tried, she will let you taste it and expand your taste buds. Last week I stopped by and ordered 2 meals to take home for the wife and I. There was enough food in there we had two full meals for two full days. The best part is the owner is an amazing chef and Baker. always bringing new taste and flavors. Follow their facebook page and check in every chance you get, you never know what yummy something will be on the special board. I love you guys, thank you for being there when my dad passed. he loved you too

This place is the best!!!! Not one item on the menu will disappoint you! The desserts and bacon wrapped tater tots will make you drool! People are so friendly and down to Earth. You cannot go wrong with this place! We stop here every time we go to the boot store! An hour drive....SO WORTH IT!!! Can't wait for next trip!!! Love love love!!!

Best BBQ in Florida. We happened upon this place on our vacation. This is some of the best barbecue we've ever had in Florida. We will definitely be back and recommend this to anyone. Not a far drive for us.

This is a family run restaurant. The food is like home cooking and the staff is awesome ! They remember my name every time. I can't say I have ever left there hungry as the portion size is great .

Wonderful BBQ! Had pulled pork, brisket and wings, all tasty. Nice area in back with picnic tables, fire ring and beanbag toss. We will be back.

This is a drop what your doing and just go place. Do it now! I felt as though I walked into my uncle's house at Christmas time. Just the smells alone coming out of the kitchen were enough to tell me the whole experience was going to be amazing. Pulled pork cooked to perfection. The best greens and baked beans I've had in a long time. The staff was professional, efficient and accommodating. I've eaten at many BBQ restaurants, and the locals were spot on. The food was very tasty. I drove from Kennesaw, GA to try the barbecue and it was worth the detour.

Do not miss out on this place! The food is amazing! I was just passing through town and was about to relegate myself to fast food until I came across this place. The ribs were revert and flavorful and their fried peach cobbler really good! Making a detour on my way back for for seconds!

Food was just what we wanted when we wanted it lol. Banana Pudding was good also friendly folks. Stop in and see them.

Best smoked bbq that I've ever had!

I ordered a bbq pork sandwich with baked beans & fried green tomatoes. The sandwich & beans were average, but the fried green tomatoes were great! Loved the dipping sauce. The young lady taking orders was very good -- fast, efficient & very personable. 🍅🍅🍅

The ribs may very well have been some of the best I've ever had. That includes the Texas BBQ and North Carolina BBQ joints I've ever tried.

Great little place to stop at if you're in the area or driving by. Great service. Good parking even if you have a trailer. Sausage peppers onions mac and cheese and potatoe salad made a fine meal. Everything was great. Highly recommend if you want some good southern hospitality and cooking.

Quaint southern BBQ restaurant. The ribs were deliciously smokey. The fried okra was just perfect not too salty. The deep fried biscuits are a real treat.

First time trying after living in the area for almost 14 years. I got the St. Louis rib special with collard greens and sweet potatoes casserole. The ribs were touch, not tender and so so dry. The collards greens were good, but very spicy and I can't tolerate spicy food or fried food due to my surgery that I have a few months ago. The sweet potato casserole was very good and the fried biscuits were delicious, even though I am not allowed to have anything fried. My husband had the brisket with potato salad and okra. He didnt like the brisket because it was dry and bland and he had to use alot of barbecue sauce to be able to eat it. The potato salad was very good and also the okra. Service was very good. They are definitely doing something right, because they were busy when we arrived and when we left, but I think tonight wasn't our night. We will try again because I want to try the baby back ribs and the Brunswick Stew.

I can't remember how to spell her name but I believe it is Kayli. She's either one of the family in " family" barbeque in their name or a great employee. She was amazingly helpful. I've been thinking about going to this barbeque for years. I've never quite made it. If you LOVE or just Like bbq, this is amazing food. We git the oints if pulled pork and beef brisket, plus collard greens with ham. That stuff was delicious without the sauce. Then add their sweet and spicy or hot, not for the faint at heart, and it is a true bbq lovers resort. I haven't had BBQ like this is a long time. If you live your BBQ and yourself, it's well worth the drive and, they take credit cards, not just cash. I had heard that for years about cash, but I paid with Discover today. Do not miss this delicious family owned BBQ.

Loved the pulled pork and smoked sausage, but the favorite was the fried pie! Never had anything like it. Seriously, save room for the pie. Or just come get some. You won’t be sorry.

This is really Southern cooking… I love the food and I have eaten here several times and it is always the same delightful experience: extremely fresh and quite hearty. Definitely coming back.

People been raving about deep south and we just had to try it and it was amazing, decor is pretty authentic we got ribs, brisket and smoked wings, yes they have smoked wings, brisket is so tender my mother in law wont believe its beef, it really melts in your mouth the ribs were so tender and moist, its not like other ribs that get stuck between ur teeth since its so tender sides and desserts were awesome, owners are very caring and a military family so Thank you for your service n sacrifice, my 11 yr old daughter like it so much she wanted to have her next bday party there lol, it was worth the drive, they also do catering

If you love southern BBQ, you have to stop here if you are in town. You will not be disappointed!

I found this place by accident. I was hungry so I stopped, why not. I'm glad I did. The food was delicious and service was very friendly. They gave me so much I had extra to take home for another meal. The place is an awesome hidden gem. So if you're nearby, stop in, you'll be glad you did. I know I'll be back!

Today is Thanksgiving and Deep South BBQ prepares meals for pickup. This is our second year ordering Thanksgiving dinner from them. This year we ordered a ham and banana pudding pie. Food is great. Last year we had the smoked turkey and it was fantastic. We do go there for their BBQ and fixings. All the food is great. Best BBQ around. Thirty minute drive for us, but worth it.

Great little BBQ restaurant. Found on a trip out of town. The food is delicious, especially the fried biscuits. The staff is very friendly and the prices are very reasonable. Definitely will return to this place even though is isnt close to me.

Best BBQ I've ever had outside of my family. They have these fried biscuits that are amazing (tip: if you have some apple butter, they are awesome dipped in apple butter). Brunswick stew, Gator Tail, pulled pork, brisket, fried green tomatoes, fried okra, oh and that mac n cheese!! Oh and the bacon wrapped tots! We are new to the area and we are so happy that this place is 2 minutes down the road!
